Location
The Oaks Nursery is situated within its own grounds on the site of Hildenborough CEP School in Riding Lane. We are fortunate to have access to some of the school facilities.
We are inspected regularly by OFSTED (The Office for Standards in Education, Children's Services and Skills). To view our latest Inspection Report click on the link.
We are also members of the Pre-School Learning Alliance.
A good liaison exists between The Oaks and local schools to assist with the transition from Nursery to School.
Fees & Government Funding
When your child becomes entitled to Government funding, we will provide you with the relevant forms. We offer 15 hours per week for a total of 38 weeks per school year. We will not be offering the new 30 hours funding at this stage. Government funding rules apply. The Oaks Nursery is also registered to provide free early education to eligible Two year olds. Fees are calculated on a termly basis and are payable in advance but will be reduced by any funded nursery entitlement. A 5% discount is offered on each subsequent child's fees when a family has two or more children attending at the same time. Clink on the link button to read our Fees and Charges Policy.
Applications & Admissions
The Oaks Nursery accepts children from Two years Six months to school age with admissions taking place on a termly basis at the beginning of term with the last admission of each academic year being in April. It is our intention that the Nursery is accessible to families from all sections of the local community. Where necessary a waiting list will be arranged by date of application received.
We aim to be flexible about attendance patterns wherever possible however do consider age, where priority for the morning sessions will be given to children of Three years and older unless family circumstances dictate otherwise. We are open during term time for half day and full day care and term dates are closely linked to those of the state schools.
